It turns out that one of the most serious side effects of the coronavirus lockdowns is abject hypocrisy. Throughout the pandemic, we have seen case after case of the sternest, most domineering public officials openly flouting the very rules they require ordinary Americans to uphold — on pain of severe penalties. But no example is as galling as Nancy Pelosi on Monday prancing around a San Francisco hair salon that by law was supposed to have been closed.
