Professional footballer Aaron Ñiguez Esclapez has revealed he is ‘more active and energized’ since going vegan.

The athlete, who plays for Malaga CF and is the CEO of Club Costa City, made the comment in an upcoming interview with Plant Based News.

‘My recovery times are shorter’

When asked whether ditching animal products from his diet had resulted in any changes to his health, Esclapez said: “I have noticed a great change in my health. I am more active and I feel energized.

Thanks for watching!

“I rest better and I’ve also noticed [changes] regarding my sporting level too. I have improved my performance… and my recovery times are shorter between games or high-intensity training – now it takes much longer for me to reach muscle [fatigue].

Plant-based foods

The footballer, who went vegan for ethical, environmental, and health reasons, also said he enjoys ‘all types’ of plant-based foods including vegetables, fruits, legumes.

He added: “The trick is to know how to cook them and have recipes to find flavors in them that you like the most.”
