7-Eleven has debuted a range of vegan ‘on the go’ products in Australia.

The convenience chain, which has approximately 700 stores across Australia, says the launch is in response to the country’s growing demand for plant-based food.

7-Eleven’s new range features a No Chicken and Lettuce Sandwich and No Egg and Lettuce Sandwich for $5, as well as a No Beef Pie and No Sausage Roll for $4.

‘Extensive testing’

According to Franchise Business, 7-Eleven’s General Marketing Manager Julie Laycock said: “Our team developed these exclusive products with our suppliers, and we’ve done extensive testing with consumers to ensure the new products taste delicious.

“The convenience of being able to drop into one of our 700 [plus] stores makes it even easier for people looking for vegan-friendly and vegetarian food and those who want to mix plant-based meals into their diet more often.”

‘Great value products’

Laycock added that the new products provide ‘more choices for more people’, stating: “As Australia is one of the fastest-growing plant-based food markets in the world, it’s important to us that we continue to provide tasty, great value products for as many people as possible.”

The chain is also trialing soy-milk for takeout coffee in a select number of stores in Victoria, and already offers plant-based food including a falafel wrap.
