Vegan cookery duo BOSH! have revealed that sales of their first cookbook have hit a staggering 250,000.
Last night Henry Firth and Ian Theasby picked up a Silver Nielsen Bestseller award for their debut offering BOSH!.
The tome, which was the first vegan cookbook ever to reach Number 1, also won critical acclaim – scooping the Non-Fiction: Lifestyle category at the British Book Awards’ Books of the Year last year.
“Obviously, we’re super chuffed,” Firth and Theasby wrote on Instagram. “A quarter of a million VEGAN cookbooks are now [sitting] on bookshelves up and down the country and that is very, very good thing…
“Everything we do has one intention and that intention is simple; put more plants on more plates. Moments like this are a reminder that things are changing and hard work from us, and all of our peers in the vegan space, is making a real impact.
“You can rest assured that we will use this award to fuel our fire and we’ll continue to work as hard as we can to do our bit for human health, the environment and our non-human friends.”
They also thanked their team – as well as everyone who has picked up a copy of the book so far.
As well as making their mark on the publishing world, Firth and Theasby recently debuted their all-vegan mainstream UK television all-vegan cookery show.
Living On The Veg, which was created by Rock Oyster Media for ITV Daytime Entertainment, started airing earlier this month.
Speaking about the Sunday morning show, the pair said: “We’ll be sharing our top hacks and tips so that you can wow any dish. Whether you’re a fully-fledged vegan or just want to cut down on meat and dairy, this series will have something for everyone.”
